Delete temporary files in Internet Explorer PDF Print E-mail

Surf on the Internet is common enough for a lot of people. Some people don’t have enough experience and sometimes it can happen that when they use public computers ( Internet café, job, etc..) they leave traces of visited pages  and they give the opportunity at some curious person to peek into your privacy or worse, some hacker can get your banking information, email address, etc... Why can this happen? I reply to you immediately saying that almost all the actions that we do on the Internet are stored in a system folder called Temporary Internet Files, also known as cache.

Most browsers use this type of storage to speed the use of websites previously visited so we can load the web pages quickly. If we have our private computer hard disk with a good size this is a useful feature of the browser but my advice is that sometimes it is better to empty the cache, because during the surfing it is always possible that a malware file is stored on our computers without our knowing and it could violate our privacy.

There are two ways to delete these files:

The first is very simple.  Go to the Internet options in your browser and click on the delete button.

temporary files

The second is more advanced. Go to your browser Internet options and click the setting button:

view temporary files

Here you can delete the temporary internet files individually as a computer specialist :)

Its really wonderful tutorial for the people who visited some websites and have some information about it in the cached. They can clear all the history along with the temporary files if they want to hide the information which he visited.

Thanks for the info, shame IE doesn't have an auto clear on exit option, would make it so much easier.

Although it's not that hard, it's a good tip for a lot of people, since it will speed up your browser :)

Clearing IE is easy. Has anybody experienced weird cache problems with Chrome?
